The Wai’oli Tea Room was originally used as vocational training adjunct to The Salvation Army’s Children Home established in Manoa in 1909. The Tea Room was built in 1922 and was used as a “classroom” for nearly 40 years! There is a lot of rich history in this site – throughout the next few weeks, we’ll be taking you through the timeline of the Wai’oli Tea Room you have come to love.
