A Message from our Divisional Leaders

Week 13: Apr. 13-17

Aloha to our Salvation Army ‘Ohana,

It is National Volunteer Week! We are so excited to honor our volunteers and say a big MAHALO for investing their time and energy into furthering our mission of “Doing the Most Good” in the Hawaiian & Pacific Islands.

National Volunteer Week1
We cannot express how important volunteers are to The Salvation Army. Volunteers are the army behind the Army, we could not serve more than 117,000 people each year without the help and support of those who collect canned goods for our food pantry, ask for donations during the holidays and those who choose to be on the front lines helping those who are without homes or food. Our volunteers have big hearts and passion for helping others in the community.

For those of you who would like to become a volunteer at The Salvation Army, register here.

No Army is complete without volunteers. Mahalo for enlisting. #NationalVolunteerWeek

Last weekend, we were able to join more than 100 women at the 2015 Women’s Ministries Camp for their retreat titled “Just Breath.” Women from O‘ahu, Maui, Kauai, Hawai‘i Island and Moloka‘i attended the spiritual retreat featuring workshops on crafts, journaling and self-improvement. Mahalo and God Bless,
