A Message from Our Divisional Leaders

Aloha to our Salvation Army ‘Ohana,

This week we are monitoring Tropical Storm Guillermo, which is expected to strengthen into a hurricane before weakening as it approaches Hawaii next week. As many of you are aware, The Salvation Army is always prepared to provide services after every disaster that may impact the community.  From Hurricane Iniki in Kauai to devastating earthquakes in Nepal, The Salvation Army is prepared to respond with food, water, supplies, and spiritual services.

We will stay on top of the latest weather updates. Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates as well.

Earlier this week, approximately 100 seniors from our Corps and senior citizen groups from Waianae, Kailua, Kaneohe, and Honolulu attended our Kupuna Camp, titled ‘All Aboard,’ a train-themed retreat. Seniors enjoyed activities such as the Railroad Bingo, mason jar crafts, a photo booth, fellowship, a train ride, and an interactive skit! We had a blast connecting with the seniors in the community and giving them an opportunity to make memories and have fun during the summer.

Next up is our Family Camp in September. We anticipate lots of fun activities and fellowship with families across the state.

RevHi Philippines Team

Please pray for members of our RevHi team who have spent the past two months in the Philippines “Doing the Most Good” and are preparing for their journey back home. We thank God for their servant hearts and desire to go out into the world and “let their light shine before others, that they may see their good works and glorify God in Heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Mahalo and God Bless,
