A Message from Our Divisional Leaders

Aloha to our Salvation Army ‘Ohana,

We are excited to announce that our Molokai Outpost is now a Corps! Gina Kahuahuia spearheads the corps’ programs and services such as the monthly food distribution day, bible study and worship service. The Molokai Corps will be able to provide more support to the community and help those in need.

We are grateful that so many joined us in celebrating National Donut Day last Friday! We saw many happy faces on Oahu, Maui, and Kauai! Our bakery partners Regal Bakery on Oahu, Krispy Kreme on Maui, and Daylight Donuts on Kauai have been generous in contributing to such a significant day for The Salvation Army. On Oahu, we were able to raise $763 through our kettles for our Family Services Office, which means we are able to feed more families this month!

This past Saturday, we had some special visitors at our Kauluwela Mission Corps. Eagle Scouts came to construct planters for our corps. Mahalo to Eagle Scout Nic Politsch for coordinating this volunteer project with our Kauluwela Mission Corps officers, Majors Randy and Jonnette Mulch. It is refreshing to see the beautiful greenery around our building.

Coming up in two weeks, we will be celebrating LEON Day with bell ringers and kettles at participating Longs/CVS Caremark and Walmart stores statewide! LEON Day is noel spelled backwards and it’s our reminder that the need for basic services in Hawaii are year round. Do The Most Good in your community by joining us in celebrating LEON Day and contribute to our mission to serve those in need throughout the year.

Mahalo and God Bless,
